BioConsult SH GmbH & Co. KG is a team of more than 160 scientists and experts with many years of experience in environmental impact studies and ecological research and development. Founded in 1998 and located in offices in Hamburg and Husum / Germany, BioConsult SH works mainly for on- and offshore renewable energy and infrastructure projects in Europe and worldwide, providing consultancy, data acquisition, data analysis, impact assessments and reporting for authorities, industrial partners and NGOs.
Driven by scientific approaches and innovation, BioConsult SH uses cutting edge technologies to sample data (bioacoustics, radar, high-resolution camera technology, remote sensing using long-range drones, planes and satellites) and provides in-house solutions to handle big data sets including AI developments for automatic species recognition (e.g. bats, birds and marine mammals) and habitat mapping.
